Q: What apps does the DUM 1 have?

Any app you want, none you don't!

While the DUM 1 comes preloaded with some essential apps, please let us know what additional apps you would like on your DUM 1 by filling out the App Request box on the DUM 1's product page, and we'll install them for you.

How do I activate my DUM 1?

Simply insert the SIM card from your old phone into your DUM 1 and away you go! If you want to transfer over your data, we've included apps that let you transfer contacts, call records, text messages, photos, and other data from your old phone (SMS Backup and Restore, Copy My Data). Please consult the user guides for these apps for more information.

Do any apps not work with the DUM 1?

Most QR codes will not be accessible on your DUM 1. At restaurants, I often have to request paper menus or look at a friend's phone (though I don't view that as a negative). The vast majority of apps I have tested do work. However, there are a few apps requiring auto-login that will limit your access. For this reason, though you can use your suite of Google services like Gmail and Drive, you will not be able to directly access to any account of your choice. For this issue, we recommended sharing files or forwarding emails to your DUM 1's exclusive Google account. We also include apps like Edison Mail that integrate with Gmail and allow you to send emails from any account of your choice.
